DESCRIPTION:
Three well stocked ponds located in quiet rural surroundings, well
landscaped on the edge of the Lincolnshire wolds. Plenty of double figure
carp, good head of roach, rudd and perch, tench to 5 lbs, newest pond is
stocked with all silver fish, barbel, bream and chub. Easy access to all
ponds with ample parking, ladies and gents toilet. Vending machines with
hot and cold drinks, also snacks, limited tackle available. Tents and tourer
facilities ready for the season.

TACTICS:
Pond A, all baits produce well, maggot on
the pole will catch smaller fish, floating trout or mixer will also
produce good carp late evening on sunny days, corn and meat on the feeder
will also catch large tench, do not overfeed. Pond B, fish tend to shoal
around the island and in the deep hole at pegs 4 & 5, feeding little
and often will hold the fish, chopped worm and hemp in the cup with caster
or pop up pellet on size 16/18 hook. On warm days larger carp can be found
tight to the margins although light terminal tackle is required. Pond C,
skimmers on double maggot, on the pole with a size 18 hook, feeding little
and often, worm is a good all round bait, light tackle is a must, deep
holes at ends of islands are favored pegs.
RULES:
Barbless hooks only, all nets to be dipped
on site, no carp over 3 lbs in keepnets, unhooking mats must be used, no
groundbait except in cups or feeders, no litter or fires, no excess bait
to be thrown in ponds.
TICKETS:
£4.00 per person 2-rods, dawn till dusk,
night fishing by arrangement, £8.00 (24 hours), pay at pondside, match
bookings taken.
LOCATION:
From Grimsby follow the A46 to Caistor.
Top of Cabourne Hill turn right, then left for Caistor, follow the A1084
to 50mph sign and turn left. From Brigg follow the A1084 into Caistor sign
on right just before 40mph sign turn right.
