DESCRIPTION: This fishery consists of two very productive lakes of about 1 acre each, both have lily pads and some rushes in the summer. Well stocked with carp to 23lb, bream to 10lb, ghosties to 12lb, roach to 3lb, rudd and crucians. Thames byelaws apply.

TACTICS: Some of the bigger carp are caught from floating bread, Boilies or pellet, Chum Mixers, corn bread and meat tempt other carp. Most of the other fish are caught on maggot, bread flake, caster and corn. Top method for catching the roach and crucians is maggot, fish two red on a size 18 hook, 10 inches under a light float, and sprinkle a few freebies in every few casts.

RULES: Barbless hooks only. No nuts. No keepnets. Unhooking mats must be used. No litter or fires. No beachcasting. Match bookings taken 1st October to 1st of March.

TICKETS: £5.00 all day, £4.00 for OAPs, £15.00 gives you 24 hours, All Week, tickets purchased at the house or on the bank.

LOCATION: Come off at junction 26 of the M25 and follow the signs to Chingford on the A112. Or From the A1037 towards Waltham Abbey, pick up the A112, cross the A110 continue around the bend and up the hill, fishery access is at the top of the hill on the right just past Picks cottage, pull in by the house and let yourself in through the gate if closed (remember to close it after you) follow along the track to the car park

When you visit Willowside you find two well appointed self-catering holiday apartments  (Elm and Willow) which both have a twin and double bedroom with a shared bathroom or shower room as well as a sitting / kitchen room. Both apartments feature a TV and DVD player in the main sitting room and a smaller TV in each bedroom. All situated in a new barn conversion on a forty acre farm. The apartments are both let on a self catering basis for 4 people, for stays of up to one month. We can cater for B&B (self-catering continental breakfast) Short or Long stays, Both apartments are non smoking, sorry no pets. We are close to London and the countryside of Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. Although Willowside is in a rural location we are only 25 mins by train into central London, with it's great shops, theatres, restaurants and night life. For those that prefer not to shop until they drop we border Epping Forest and Lea Valley Park which is ideal for walkers, bird watchers, and cyclists. Close by is the Historic Waltham Abbey, and Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge, and just an hour away from the great University of Cambridge. We are also ideally situated for Stansted Airport, and the future 2012 Olympics at Stratford, as well as having great road links to the surrounding counties of Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and Kent.
